Genetically modified cows produce 'human' milk

Scientists have created genetically modified cattle that produce "human" milk in a bid to make cows' milk more nutritious.

 

음... 이거 포스팅 순서가 조금 잘못 되었습니다. 방금 전에 미국 FDA와 관련된 코메디 기사를 올렸는데, 영국에서는 과학자들이 "인간 모유"를 생산할 수 있는 젖소를 개발하는 데 성공했다는 기사가 떴습니다. 무려 300 마리... 앞으로 태어나게 되는 아기들은 엄마 대신 소의 젖에서 나오는 우유를 먹고 성장하게 될지도 모르겠군요...

The scientists have successfully introduced human genes into 300 dairy cows to produce milk with the same properties as human breast milk.

Human milk contains high quantities of key nutrients that can help to boost the immune system of babies and reduce the risk of infections.

The scientists behind the research believe milk from herds of genetically modified cows could provide an alternative to human breast milk and formula milk for babies, which is often criticised as being an inferior substitute.

 

조만간 슈퍼마켓에서 이런 우유를 판매하게 되기를 희망하고 있으며, 배후에는 규모가 큰 바이오테크 회사가 후원을 하고 있다네요 (어딜까? 그런데 계속 기사를 보다 보니 중국 회사인 듯 합니다... 헐... 멜라닌이 풍부한 모유???).

They hope genetically modified dairy products from herds of similar cows could be sold in supermarkets. The research has the backing of a major biotechnology company.
