러시아 그림

그는 서정적인 러시아 풍경화가들의 영향을 받았으나
초기부터 무척 개성적인 자신의 방식으로 그림을 그렸다.
그림뿐만 아니라 시와 음악에도 무한한 열정을 갖고 있던
그는 안톤 체홉과 친구가 되기도 했다.
그의 그림들은 대표적인 "무드 풍경화(Mood Landscape)"로 불리며
러시아 지식인들의 열렬한 사랑을 받았다.
그는 삶에 대한 철학적인 고뇌를 거듭하며
뛰어난 예술가로 성장했다.
